Displacement curves of the BNO 1055 CR extract and the reference compounds dopamine (DA), norepinephrine (NE) or serotonin 5-HT in receptor binding assays (RBA). a Norepinephrine RBA; (b) Dopamine RBA; (c) Serotonin RBA. The receptor preparations originate from rat brain tissue. Radioactively labeled DA, NE and 5-HT bind to their respective receptors and substances with affinities to the respective receptor displace the radiolabeled neurotransmitter. This indicates that the BNO 1055 CR extract contains NE-, DA- and 5HT- mimetic substances. CR: Cimicifuga racemosa
