Histological Sections of the Liver. Plate 1: Group (1): given continuous salt-load. There is periportal inflammation and mild vacuolation of the hepatocytes. Plate 2: Group (2): given salt-load and treated with aqueous extract. There is shrinking of the portal vein and granulation of hepatocytes Plate 3:.
