Effect of A. spinosus root extract on basal blood glucose levels in male rats.  Blood glucose levels were measured before (W0) and weekly (W1; W2; W3 & W4) for 28 days. AS 500; 1000 = A. spinosus at doses of 500 and 1000 mg/kg bw.
