Effect of CCAE on hepatic protein carbonylation and triglyceride levels. We observed increased levels of PCC (LT2D and ET2D vs. Con, p = 0.73 and p = 0.19, respectively) and TG in the liver tissue of both diabetic groups compared to Con. Treatment with CCAE led to a significant reduction of both variables in all treated groups compared to their untreated controls.
