  1. We have presented the data as mean ± SEM. Bold means statistically significant difference versus Con. Bold and italic shows statistical significance versus untreated members of the same diabetic group. Statistical value, defined as p < 0.05, was determined by non-parametric test followed by Kruskal-Wallis test in GraphPad Prism. Shows parameters significantly different in the blood of early and late diabetes groups concerning each other; i.e., STZ vs. NIA/STZ. All the variables are given in mg/dl except for enzyme activities that are reported in units/L
